  6. Intellectual Discrimination (Buddhi Yoga): Krishna advises Arjuna to cultivate intellectual discrimination (buddhi yoga) to discern between the eternal (Atman) and the transient (body, senses, mind). By understanding the impermanence of the material world, one can attain spiritual wisdom.

  7. Immortality of the Soul: Krishna assures Arjuna that the self (Atman) is eternal and indestructible, transcending the cycles of birth and death. The wise person knows the self to be beyond birth and death and is not perturbed by the fear of mortality.

  8. Importance of Self-Control: Krishna emphasizes the importance of self-control and mastery over the senses and the mind. By restraining the senses and withdrawing from sense objects, one can attain inner peace and spiritual progress.

  9. Role of Faith: Krishna encourages Arjuna to have faith in the teachings of the scriptures and the guidance of the guru. Faith (shraddha) is essential for spiritual growth and leads to the direct experience of the divine.

  10. Path to Liberation: Krishna outlines the path to liberation, which involves self-discipline, selfless action, devotion to God, and realization of the eternal self. By following the path of wisdom and righteousness, one can attain freedom from suffering and achieve ultimate union with the divine.
